Kinja'd!!!

A 44,000 mile 1983 Chrysler New Yorker. The first car I ever drove was my grandparents 1987 Diplomat; so I have a soft spot for these cars.

Plus...

Kinja'd!!!

Look at that red grandmas sofa style interior. My grandparents was maroon with a red interior, but that was the even better in my opinion velour seat fabric. All this malaise era goodness could be yours for $2200 or less depending on the level of knowing what he’s got you encounter.

If I had the time I’d do eet and drop a crate 5.7 modern hemi in it.

fun fact: despite being named “M-body,” this car’s platform is the same as the F body Aspen/Volare.

This is enough of a NP for me to be a little suspicious about what might be wrong with it.

Oh, those Mopar “Chronometer” digital clocks they stuck in everything for awhile there.

My initial search was inspired by the blown Monte someone posted earlier. I really want to slap a blower onto the motor of a completely inappropriate car. That led me to searching for Chrysler’s.

Of what I found locally this would be my first Choi for a blower build. The New Yorker was just too damn nice not to share.

I made that argument with my wife. Given that we’re saving for a house and her current job is in limbo she didn’t think it was the right time to make the investment.

If my garage was heated so I could sleep there  this winter I’d go look and see if he’d negotiate.

On the rare occasion I see these for sale they always seem to be in the $1500-2500 range in my area. It is definitely suspiciously nice looking to not be at the top of that range though.
